The original BFFs are back!! Back from Broadway that is.  

Yes, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD, had it’s world premiere right here in Minneapolis (at the Children’s Theatre Company in 2002), leapt onto the Broadway stage for a time, and is now is happily hopping to theater companies all over the country.  

It is a rollick of a show! The woodland world of these two amphibians revolves around the friendship first made famous by Arnold Lobel in his books for the young at heart. Frog and Toad are friends through and through, yin and yang, salt and pepper, zig and zag…two pieces of a puzzle that fit just right!  

Their world abounds with clans of creatures: ants, birds, fish, lizards, mice, moles, porcupines, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, a turtle and even a snail - that somehow manage to get along by living in simple appreciation of pleasures like first snowfall, work well done, and fresh baked cookies. 

The music is jazzy. The action is sharp, sweet and silly. And the Lake Harriet Players deliver yet another classy rendition of a beloved musical tale. 

Show dates are Friday through Sunday, March 20-22 and 20-27, 2009. Shows Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00; Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2:00.
